OHA Hockey Goal Frame

QUED® outdoor practice goal frames use tested steel components with a durable powder‑coat finish. Frames are shipped protected on oversized pallets. The standard depth is approximately 610 mm (24 in) with a 2 in OD steel front over a 1.22 × 1.83 m (4 × 6 ft) opening.

Challenge

Provide a practice frame that is durable, easy to lace, and sized to standard openings with practical depth.

Solution

Use ~60.3 mm (2 in) OD schedule‑80 fronts with welded ~6.35 mm (1/4 in) lacing at ~127 mm (5 in) spacing; pair with ~38.1 mm × ~2.54 mm (1.5 in × 0.100 in) members and powder‑coat finishing.

The Construction

Front members are ~60.3 mm (2 in) OD schedule‑80 steel. Bottom members use ~38.1 mm (1.5 in) tube with ~2.54 mm (0.100 in) wall; top and vertical members use ~38.1 mm (1.5 in) × ~2.54 mm wall. A ~6.35 mm (1/4 in) solid lacing wire is welded approximately every ~127 mm (5 in). Ship weight is ~40.8 kg (90 lb) per pair.

The Operation

Anchor the frames per venue practice requirements and lace the net to the welded wire at frequent intervals for stability.
