Crash Mat

The QUED® Crash Mat has been breaking falls for over 50 years. Its quality foam core provides both a stabilizing and cushioning effect, and the heavy‑duty cover and construction deliver long‑lasting, trouble‑free use for scholastic, recreational, climbing, stunt and performance arts programs.

Challenge

Provide a durable, impact‑attenuating landing surface for repeated use across diverse programs.

Solution

Use an approximately 30 ILD polyurethane core in thicknesses suited to the activity, enclosed in a reinforced vinyl cover with venting and carry handles.

The Mat

The mat is a landing surface built to withstand repeated impacts using extra heavy‑duty materials and sturdy construction. A smooth, uniform, seamless working surface reduces stressful impact during landings.

Image

The Construction

Cover construction integrates polyester reinforced vinyl landing surface with mesh breather side panels on all mats with a thickness 305 mm (12 in) and greater. For thicknesses greater than approximately 305 mm (12 in), foam core incorporates layers of stabilizing polyurethane foam constructed in a lattice design to maximize impact absorption.

The Operation

Foam core can be shipped compressed to facilitate transport. As soon as your mat arrives, open compressed foam and install in cover. Allow foam to expand 48hrs before use. Place mat on dry, level surface.
