Mailbox

QUED® Mailbox is a classic soft‑play shape that complements many arrangements. Used separately, it is an effective way to encourage children to experience weight‑bearing with their arms.

Challenge

Encourage upper‑body weight‑bearing in a soft‑play context.

Solution

Use an arched foam core with a reinforced ~0.61 kg/m² (18 oz/yd²) vinyl cover and secure joins via 51 mm (2 in) hook‑and‑loop.

Image

The Shape

The arched form creates an approachable crawl‑over and press‑up station to build upper‑body strength and confidence.

Image

The Construction

The Mailbox uses a polyester‑reinforced vinyl cover (~0.61 kg/m² / 18 oz/yd²) over a ~44 ILD polyurethane foam core. Seams are inverted and cross‑stitched, with full‑width hook‑and‑loop flaps and a concealed YKK zipper.

The Operation

Position the Mailbox on a level surface for crawl‑over and press‑up activities. Join to adjacent shapes as needed with the hook‑and‑loop flaps.
